<p>today I will have a closer look into this Whisky:<br><br><em><strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Craigellachie 1995 DL Private Stock</mark><br></strong></em><br>I got this sample from a bottle share in Germany.<br><br>What are my expectations? Well, considering the color, casks, age and ABV I expect this Whisky to be enormous complex. I expect the sherry flavors to be quite intense but hopefully not too strong. I really looking forward to try this one. But first give it some time in the glass to breath. In this case I let it breath for more than 3 hours.<br>During most of that time I will have it covered.</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s see if it can surprise me and that hopefully in a positive way <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/16.0.1/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br></p>

<p><strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Appearance:</mark></strong><br>Color: Copper. Very oily as the streaks on the glass flow down very slow.<br></p>

<p><strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Nose:</mark> 89/100 points</strong><br>Dark fruits, many spices, clove, oranges, moldy old oak with moss. Some herbal notes. A bit sulfur shows up as well as a slightly floral note. Spicy and a bit sharp in the nose.<br></p>

<p><strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Taste:</mark> <strong><strong>90/100 points</strong></strong></strong><br>strong start with many oak and fruits. Sweet with honey, oranges, herbal notes and dark chocolate. leather and a bit spicy. A bit tabaco and coffee comes through. Very complex.<br></p>

<p><strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Finish:</mark> <strong><strong>88/100 points</strong></strong></strong><br>strong finish with many fruits, herbal notes and oak. a bit sour and tart at the end. Lasts very long. Some Espresso shows up.<br></p>

<p><strong><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Conclusion:</mark><br></strong>very nice malt with a unique, distinct and rather difficult to describe profile. Very nice malt. If you get the chance to try that one I definitely recommend to do it.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong><em><mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">Overall I give this Whisky:</mark> <mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-black-color">90/100</mark> <mark style="background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)" class="has-inline-color has-vivid-green-cyan-color">WhiskyYoda points</mark></em></strong></p>
