Remarks:
Fantastic Springbank. A really wonderful bourbon cask maturation. I like it a lot.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
Campbeltown dirt, vanilla, citrus, caramel, oak, light smoke, lime. Very fruity and dirty, as a Springbank should be. Later on the oak becomes more intense.

  • Taste:
Here too, the Campbeltown character is evident. Dirty smoke with lots of citrus fruits and limes. Vanilla and caramel, honey, oak, some earth, leather, dusty bookshelves, some furniture polish. Creamy and oily. Old oak

  • Finish:
wonderful aromatic finish. Strong. Citrus fruits, lime, some dirty smoke, caramel, light vanilla, fruity, some leather and old oak

Remarks:
This blend really surprised me in a positive way.

At first, it smelled slightly alcoholic. But that went away after a while in the open glass.
In terms of aromas, I have vanilla, caramel and almonds. You can also detect a sherry influence. Sweet and malty. A little pepper is added towards the end.
Glenrothes is also said to be involved here, which is something you can certainly guess. This influence is hard to deny.
Great whisky, especially for the price. Great daily drinker.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:

  • Taste:

  • Finish:

Remarks:
Beautiful wine barrel aging. The aromas on the palate and on the finish are completely different to what the nose suggests.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
Citrus fruits, orange peel, grapefruit, sweet, malty, nutty, vanilla, light floral notes, some chocolate and honey in the background, fresh herbs

  • Taste:
Sweet, malty and nutty at the start, then come fruits and some cereals, light vanilla, later some fruit acidity, grapes, becoming slightly tart with a hint of dry leather.

  • Finish:
Sweet and malty. Later it becomes fruity and the leather and light fruity acidity become apparent again.
