Remarks:
wonderful Bowmore.
The wine barrel harmonizes perfectly with the spirit again.
Wonderful fruity notes that combine beautifully with the slightly mineral, maritime smoke. Delicious.

Remarks:
not bad but not particularly outstanding either.
From the nose to the palate to the finish, there is a bit of chaos between the flavors.
Adding a few drops of water doesn’t change that.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
Malt, grain, floral notes, vanilla, light fruits, slightly pungent alcohol, some herbs. A little lime shows up later.

  • Taste:
Herbs, lime, slightly sweet, floral notes, malt, caramel, grains. Later slightly peppery and slightly oily

  • Finish:
lots of malt and grain with some bright fruit. Strong and warming.

Remarks:
Nice Whisky. But need to give it time to open up.
Then the Port finish with it’s fruitiness fits perfect the Campbeltown character.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
in the nose it needs time to open up and that you can smell it’s a Campbeltown. At the beginning the Port fruitiness is stronger than the Distillery character. But with time it opens up nicely.
the alcohol is very well integrated.

  • Taste:
on the palate the port fruits are also stronger than the Campbeltown character. But if you let it longer inside your mouth and sweep over your tongue the unique Campbeltown character appears and rounds up the flavors.

  • Finish:
in the Finish you can feel that there is no doubt that this is a Campbeltown whisky. If you had doubts before now they are gone.

Remarks:
very interesting aroma profile.
It takes time to unfold.
You should also leave it in your mouth longer to be able to perceive all the aromas. If you swallow it too early, you’ll miss out on the sweeter and fruitier flavors.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
Some dirty smoke that goes away over time, sherry, sweet, chocolate, some vanilla and caramel, oak, musty wood, later a kind of lime is added. A very slight sulfur note in the background

  • Taste:
Hay, fruit, some musty wood, slight spiciness, some pepper, oak, some malt. Later becoming oily. Vanilla, caramel and some chocolate. Slightly sweet

  • Finish:
Sherry and damp wood. Vanilla and caramel. The chocolate also shows up again.

very difficult to describe.
Aside from the alcohol, there are hardly any flavors to be found here.
You have to look for a long time.
I would describe it as liquid nothing.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
very thin, some alcohol – could also be vodka – wet paper, far back on the horizon you can see some bright fermented fruit as well as some malt.

  • Taste:
very difficult to define. But I’ll try anyway.
    sweet…………………………………………. …………………….
there could be some light fruits and some vanilla.
But I’m not sure about that. But the wet paper is back again.

  • Finish:
Oops, that was it? But that happened damn quickly.
A little sweet malt and………it’s gone.
The only thing left is some burning alcohol.
