Remarks:
Nice Whisky. But need to give it time to open up.
Then the Port finish with it’s fruitiness fits perfect the Campbeltown character.
Overall I rate this Whisky:
- Nose:
in the nose it needs time to open up and that you can smell it’s a Campbeltown. At the beginning the Port fruitiness is stronger than the Distillery character. But with time it opens up nicely.
the alcohol is very well integrated. - Taste:
on the palate the port fruits are also stronger than the Campbeltown character. But if you let it longer inside your mouth and sweep over your tongue the unique Campbeltown character appears and rounds up the flavors. - Finish:
in the Finish you can feel that there is no doubt that this is a Campbeltown whisky. If you had doubts before now they are gone.
