Remarks:
very nice Lowland whisky. In a blind tasting I wouldn’t guess it came out of the Lowlands.
Just the flavors in the nose don’t match the flavors on the palate. But a good CS which doesn’t need any water.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
strong nose due to the high ABV. many fruits, mainly yellow once. Vanilla, Honey, some floral notes. Spices and a bit young oak. Here I wouldn’t guess it was a red wine matured Whisky

  • Taste:
strong and intense start. Many dried and dark fruits, grapes, berries, raisins, vanilla, caramel, some chocolate, honey, oily and creamy. Mouthwatering.

  • Finish:
the Finish also start very strong and the flavors from the palate I also find here again.
What comes in addition are oak and a bit leather flavors, slightly tart at the end.

Remarks:
very interesting aroma profile.
It takes time to unfold.
You should also leave it in your mouth longer to be able to perceive all the aromas. If you swallow it too early, you’ll miss out on the sweeter and fruitier flavors.

Overall I rate this Whisky:

  • Nose:
Some dirty smoke that goes away over time, sherry, sweet, chocolate, some vanilla and caramel, oak, musty wood, later a kind of lime is added. A very slight sulfur note in the background

  • Taste:
Hay, fruit, some musty wood, slight spiciness, some pepper, oak, some malt. Later becoming oily. Vanilla, caramel and some chocolate. Slightly sweet

  • Finish:
Sherry and damp wood. Vanilla and caramel. The chocolate also shows up again.
