Remarks:
Compared to the 100 proof from 2005 and 2007, the finish is less complex despite the same age and slightly higher ABV. Still a nice whisky.
Overall I rate this Whisky:
- Nose:
slightly alcoholic, slightly smoky, oak, fruity, some nuts, spicy, slightly malty in the background, floral notes
- Taste:
slightly sweet fruity, oak, some leather, a little malty, vanilla and caramel, some honey and light floral notes in the background. Becoming tart
- Finish:
strong with fruity sweet notes. Light floral notes and some oak.
