Remarks:
Very nice Tamdhu. It needs a lot of time to open up and you should definitely give this whisky that time. After that it develops a very nice and complex aroma profile. Very nice bourbon barrel maturation.
Overall I rate this Whisky:
- Nose:
This needs time to open in the nose.
Then come grains, cereals, malt, vanilla, floral notes, a little mint, light fruits, a little oak. Further in the background there is some earth. It has a summery fresh feel. - Taste:
Soft and creamy at the beginning. Sweet, vanilla, light fruits, cereals, light honey, some floral notes, light milk chocolate, some caramel, young oak. Later becoming slightly oily. - Finish:
soft with a little fruit acidity and light fruits, here the vanilla and sweetness are more subtle, but still noticeable. The young oak is now also stronger and adds a slight bitterness.
