Remarks:
I really like the nose of this Whisky. Find it quite consistent and the smoke is very well integrated and not intrusive. I would have liked to find the aroma profile on the palate and in the finish. Unfortunately it wasn’t like that. Still a malt with a good value.
Overall I rate this Whisky 86/100 points
- Nose: 87/100 points
Fruity with lots of berries at the beginning, then quickly transitioning to citrus notes, mainly orange with a light smoke note, a little mint comes later paired with pepper, slightly sweet in the background with a touch of caramel and spices - Taste: 86/100 points
soft start, fruity and a delicate smoky note, then briefly go into sweetness with caramel and berries before it turns into sour notes. At the end there are more intense spices and pepper, the citrus notes from the nose only appear very briefly - Finish: 85/100 points
smoky, sweet and spicy, then dries out quickly. Here, too, the sour notes can still be felt
