Remarks:
very complex and wonderfully tasty, only in the nose it is a bit boisterous without water and the alcohol stings a bit. I really like the interplay of sweetness and bitterness.
Overall I rate this Whisky 89/100 points
- Nose: 89/100 points
slightly pungent alcohol, chocolate, sweet, spicy, slightly smoky, dried fruits, raisins. With a little water, the alcohol is no longer intrusive and a nice fruit basket prevails. This is where the sherry finish comes into its own - Taste: 89/100 points
Strong fruity start, lots of dark fruits, dried and fresh, becoming sweet but also a bit spicy on the tip of the tongue, light chocolate notes and caramel, slightly nutty. With a little water, the start is less powerful. - Finish: 89/100 points
sweet and creamy with a little chocolate and vanilla and caramel. Here too the dried fruits and nuts. Becomes slightly bitter at the end. Medium I would say. With water, the sherry notes primarily emerge, transitioning into a sweetness and then bitterness.
