Remarks:
In my opinion a very special Bunna which definitely needs water. Without it, it is too hot for my perception and the smoke and the heat suppress the other flavors. With a few drops of water it unfolds quite well and looks quite complex for a malt that is just 7 years old.
Overall I rate this Whisky 86/100 points
- Nose: 86/100 points
a lot of smoke, sweetish, light fruits, malty, citrus fruits, herbs, pepper, maritime notes, some ash, burnt wood. The smoky aromas dominate the nose.
With a little water, the smoky aromas go back a little and the maritime salty aromas get stronger - Taste: 86/100 points
sweet smoky, a lot of pepper, spicy, fruits, a little malty, slightly nutty, salty and slightly dry.
With a little water, it looks slightly sweeter and fruity, less spicy and more pleasant in the mouth. The fruits are now more clearly present. Also here later getting a little dry but less bitter. - Finish: 86/100 points
Smoky, strong finish, warming, slightly sweet and fruity, later dry and becoming somewhat bitter.
With water, the smoke is also strongly pronounced here, but it becomes a little sweeter and remains strong. Slightly malt and citrus fruits as well as some salty notes are added
