Remarks:
lovely young Arran. Despite the “only” 9 years this is very complex on the palate.
But it needs a lot of time in the glass for the initial alcoholic sting to go away.
Overall I rate this Whisky 87/100 points
- Nose: 86/100 points
Fruity with red fruits, berries, vanilla, apricots, peach. If you let the malt breathe long enough, the alcohol seems well integrated, because the alcohol stings the nose extremely right after pouring - Taste: 89/100 points
strong onset and very dark fruity. Sweet, sherry, vanilla, apricots, peaches, plums, dried fruit. A slight sharpness emerges. - Finish: 87/100 points
very fruity with some fruit acidity, strong and warming. The departure lasts a long time.
