Balvenie 15-year-old Single Barrel – Sherry Cask

Remarks:
in the nose it is rather cautious. It can definitely convince on the palate. However, I find the finish a bit disappointing

Today I like it much better. I gave it more time and air. Then it opens again nicely and unfolds very well.

Overall I rate this Whisky 87/100 points

• Nose: 88/100 points
  fruity, dark fruits, dried fruits, a little sweetness which quickly fades away, oak, later a little honey and mint, much later citrus fruits come through
  On February 14th, 21 I was able to perceive plums, raisins, chocolate, caramel and oranges in addition to the flavors already mentioned above
  
  
• Taste: 87/100 points
  nice fruity start, dried fruits, raisins, dark fruits, becoming spicy, some oak, chocolate, honey
  On February 14th, 21st I was able to perceive dark berries, mint, some dried dates and citrus fruits in addition to the aromas already mentioned above
  
  
• Finish: 85/100 points
  rather short, spicy, quickly transitioning to aromas from sherry maturation, then quickly becoming bitter and dry.
  On February 14, 21, I was able to perceive berries and chocolate in addition to the aromas already mentioned above and the bitter and dry things are only very slightly present in the background. Now the fruity notes predominate
