Remarks:
Quite a good bourbon for the price. Dangerously tasty. The 46.5% alcohol is very well integrated and it appears softer than the Blanton’s Gold Edition, but less complex and full.
Overall I rate this Whisky 87/100 points
- Nose: 87/100 points
spicy oak, sweet with vanilla and citrus, caramel is easy to hear. The longer it is in the glass, the weaker the sweet notes and the spices and citrus will dominate. - Taste: 87/100 points
Sweet with vanilla and caramel, quickly changing to spicy oak, some citrus fruits with a hint of cloves - Finish: 86/100 points
Sweet with vanilla, nuts and oak, becoming spicy. Rye comes through and a hint of sherry flavors like red fruits
