Remarks:
Wonderful malt that needs time in the glass to unfold. I find very pleasant wood aromas paired with some fruits and herbs. Delicious.
Overall I rate this Whisky 91/100 points
- Nose: 92/100 points
At first a lot of oak, old wood, subtly sweet, some vanilla and caramel show up. Dark, slightly sour berries, wood storage with some damp wood, plums, apricots, apples, a small hint of campfire smoke comes through very briefly at the very end. All accompanied by a pleasant note of herbs and wood. - Taste: 92/100 points
here, too, a lot of old oak at first, but not bitter, more herbal, furniture polish, plums, apricots, peaches, some vanilla and caramel, becoming oily and creamy, pepper comes lightly. Also, this dram is slightly sweet on the palate all the time, stimulating salivation which makes it even creamier. - Finish: 90/100 points
Behave right at first. It only unfolds in hindsight. Then come intense old oak notes which are now somewhat bitter and sour. But definitely not bad or uncomfortable. warming. A few fruits from the palate are also present here.
