Remarks:
It literally screams for water, the alcohol is present all the time undiluted and suppresses all other aromas in the nose as well as on the palate and in the finish.

Second tasting then diluted to about 50%.
Here it unfolds a wonderful and complex aroma profile. Delicious. A really successful sherry maturation. Great for the young age. Looks very mature.

Overall I rate this Whisky 91/100 points

  • Nose: 45/100 points
a bit of smoke surrounded by beautiful, intense sherry notes, spicy, oak, looks very well matured, after a long time in the glass, dried fruits covered in chocolate, light sweetness, honey, dark berries, the alcohol is still present despite the water, a little salt in the Background, later some smoke from the campfire comes through and it is slightly ashy.

  • Taste: 50/100 points
smoky, somewhat ashy and sweet, caramel and chocolate, a little pepper, then the sherry flavors come through slightly in the background. Then dark chocolate and soft oak notes, becoming oily. Some nuts come far in the background

  • Finish: 25/100 points
nice aromatic finish, soft oak notes accompanied by soft sherry notes with a subtle sweetness resonating all the time. The aromas remain on the palate and on the tongue for a long time. Very salivary
