for an Octomore that are known for their smokiness, I find this very soft. The smoke is barely noticeable. Rather fruity and sweet instead of smoky.
Overall I rate this Whisky 85/100 points
- Nose: 85/100 points
light smoke, fruity and sweet, citrus fruits and slightly nutty, alcohol slightly pungent - Taste: 85/100 points
Smoky, spicy, sweet, fruity, pepper, a little vanilla, rather soft and the smoke disappears quickly, slightly malty - Finish: 85/100 points
spicy, sweet finish, alcohol burns a bit on the palate, sweetness increases and some fruit comes through. Becoming bitter
