Remarks:
A very tasty old standard with a wonderful nose which is the best thing about this malt. He wants to be cheated for a long time. On the palate it is also very good and intense, but it breaks down in the finish. It is a bit disappointing, but still an excellent malt. but that’s whining on a high level.
Overall I rate this Whisky 91/100 points
- Nose: 93/100 points
Very nice sherry notes, lots of dried fruits, plums, raisins, a bit old furniture, slightly spicy, later citrus fruits, oak notes, you have to search for the typical Bunna smoke and you only find it to a limited extent. Much later comes the maritime notes, herbs, farmhouse bread - Taste: 92/100 points
Notes of old oak, dried fruits, plums, spicy, old furniture, very intense, very easily pepper comes for a short time, later becomes slightly bitter and leathery, very slightly oily, very pleasant mouthfeel. At the end there are light maritime notes combined with light citrus fruitiness - Finish: 89/100 points
intensely spicy finish with notes of sherry and citrus, long-lasting, maritime and slightly salty, somewhat bitter, leather and becoming dry at the end.
