Remarks:
I think the alcohol is astonishingly well integrated. Without water, however, you can tell that it is young because it does not appear complex.
The fruity notes come into their own with water, but this does not change the youthful appearance. Still quite good and with 67.7% it has a lot of potential to play with the water.
Overall I rate this Whisky 88/100 points
- Nose: 88/100 points
Nice sherry notes, some pepper, briefly cherry which then changes into caramel notes, some oak, the almost 68% hold back surprisingly well here.
With a few drops of water, spices and chocolate emerge. It also looks a bit fruity and dark berries come through - Taste: 88/100 points
At first it was a very soft start, sweet with caramel and a pair of dried fruits in the background. Then it gets spicy and turns into a nutty one. Now the high alcohol content shows up more clearly and creates heat on the tongue.
With a few drops of water, the berries come through briefly from the nose and it becomes a little creamier. But nothing more changes. - Finish: 88/100 points
Strong finish, lots of nuts and sweet, later becoming bitter with a hint of coffee and chocolate. Medium length and slightly warm.
With a few drops of water, there are also dried fruits. Nothing changes in the rest of the aroma.
