Remarks:
I’m divided about this one.
Without water it has a great nose.
A nice, strongly fruity start on the palate, but then becomes quite sour. The finish is also quite sour.
Water makes it appear much softer and smoother on the palate, but totally messes up the aromas in the nose.
Too bad. In the first moment I saw it really at 88 points.
Overall I rate this Whisky 86/100 points
- Nose: 88/100 points
very dark fruity without water, chocolate, strong, thick aromas. Very pleasant. The alcohol seems well integrated.
With water it breaks down completely. Only bitter aromas combined with a few fruits. Even the alcohol is showing up more now than before. Now it seems quite alcoholic. - Taste: 86/100 points
Without water, intense, strong dark fruits, spicy, a little chocolate, but then quickly bitter and, above all, acidic.
Softer and rounder with water. the dark fruits are now less vigorous. This also applies to the remaining flavors. Overall softer and rounder - Finish: 84/100 points
Without water, primarily strong and sour.
Less acidic with water but also no more complex. More bitter.
