Notes from my blind tasting
Overall I rate this Whisky 88/100 points
- Nose: 88/100 points
light smoke which is more in the background, slightly sweet and malty, lots of light fruits, slightly spicy, herbs, a little salty, the alcohol is well integrated, with warmth the smoke note has a somewhat chemical effect, but then becomes a little more subtle and the fruity notes come up a bit stronger, with water the smoky note is as good as gone and the alcohol comes out somewhat, as does citrus fruits - Taste: 88/100 points
lots of light fruits, pepper, some smoke, spicy, malty, very strong, later becoming a bit bitter, here the alcohol can be clearly felt, but not unpleasant, with warmth the malt note is stronger at the beginning and it has a more spicy than fruity effect Water is far less powerful at the start and the malty fruity comes to the fore, appears softer and rounder, also here slightly citrus fruits - Finish: 88/100 points
very strong and spicy with again a lot of herbs and light fruits, a bit salty, later becoming a bit bitter here too. The fruit basket stays in the mouth for a long time, the finish does not change noticeably with warmth, with water more citrus fruits and herbal notes appear in the finish. It is also less powerful but still slightly peppery
