Remarks:
When I bought that one I didn’t know what I will buy because the one who sell it didn’t tell the brand because he wanted that this whisky get a real chance to be tried.
He just called it the WTF Malt.
After the first sip I really was thinking: WTF!
Very nice easy drinking whisky for a great price! I paid about 10.5 EUR for the bottle here in China.
Nothing if you want to smell the whisky because the nose is not that good and that I expected already.
But on the palate and the finish it is very nice and surprises me in a positive way.
But I recommend to give it at least 20 minutes time in the glass without a cover. then it opens up very nice.
That’s one to drink and not to smell.
Overall I rate this Whisky 81/100 points
- Nose: 75/100 points
first of all even it only has 40% I think the alcohol is quite strong here even after the time in the glass. behind that there are a few yellow fruits like apple. Spices come up which someone could think that this is maybe a slight smoke flavor.
A slightly sweet note I get. - Taste: 85/100 points
here I have yellow and red fruits, cereals, milk chocolate, nuts, caramel, sweet, a little bit vanilla, a little bit leather, oak, not bitter at all. Creamy.
Very round and smooth. nice feeling on the palate - Finish: 84/100 points
here the flavors from the palate are all present as well. The only difference is that it’s getting a bit more bitter and dry at the end but I don’t think in a bad way.
