Remarks:
a really nice young malt. The aroma profile is convincing, with the nose and the palate very different, which makes this malt very exciting.
Overall I rate this Whisky 89/100 points
- Nose: 89/100 points
It doesn’t want to be covered. With the cover on, a thick gush of alcohol rises up at first. So take the lid off the jar. What emerges now are very gentle, yet intense sherry aromas, lots of plums and apricots, dried fruits, slightly spicy, a few nuts are also evident. Then there are dark berries and a slight sweet note paired with a little caramel - Taste: 89/100 points
on the palate it appears a bit tart at first with lots of dark and dried fruits. A lot of spice joins the sour notes and rounds off the picture wonderfully. A nice contrast to the aromas on the nose. Towards the end there is a little bit of sweetness and a little bit of nuts, but that is more in the background - Finish: 89/100 points
rather briefly in the intense, somewhat sour fruity aromas, then it shows itself briefly from its sweet side with dried fruits and caramel before it changes back to sour and slightly tart. All in all, medium-long finish
