Remarks:
this is a special malt. Very herbal and spicy. I like the flavor combination.
But it takes a lot of time in the glass to open up.
Overall I rate this Whisky 86/100 points
- Nose: 86/100 points
At the first moment there is a slight hint of alcohol in the nose, followed by a special, greasy smoke note. Then come dark fruits which are rather superficial. These are later overshadowed by cirrus notes, spicy with herbs. Smells a bit like incense. - Taste: 86/100 points
dirty, greasy smoke note, fermented fruits, pepper, oak, becoming bitter, lots of herbs, a hint of licorice at the end, has something of smoked herbal medicine - Finish: 86/100 points
Lots of intense herbs here too, reminds me of traditional medicine (also here in China), then a hint of smoked bacon spreads. But the licorice is also back.
