Remarks:
a real hammer this 8 year old. One of the best young whisky I’ve tried so far. It looks much more mature and older than 8 years. Delicious
Overall I rate this Whisky 91/100 points
- Nose: 91/100 points
strong sherry notes from dried fruits, plums, raisins. The whole paired with a subtle smoky note, the high alcohol content is barely noticeable here. There are spicy notes, some oak, definitely smells older than 8 years, a touch of furniture polish comes through, then herbs later. If you hold your nose deep in the glass and inhale vigorously, you can also feel the alcohol - Taste: 91/100 points
spicy in the beginning paired with rather leathery aromas, then comes a little pepper and later slightly sweet with a hint of chocolate. Rather on the dry, spicy side which merges into the bitter. The alcohol is surprisingly well integrated here too - Finish: 91/100 points
Sweet sherry-heavy finish with chocolate and lots of dried fruits and dark berries. The sweet aromas linger for a long time. Very salivary
