Remarks:
think this malt is very successful. The sherry barrel maturation harmonizes very nicely with the smoke. Really tasty.
Overall I rate this Whisky 88/100 points
- Nose: 88/100 points
Immediately at the beginning medicinal smoke, changing into a rather fruity smoke with hints of bacon and BBQ, in the background citrus and sherry notes - Taste: 88/100 points
Smoked bacon and still fruity Smoky, sweetish with dark fruits, a little bitter and a little oak. - Finish: 88/100 points
quite gentle but a bit ashy and cold smoke and lots of wood notes, again a slight bitterness. Medium length.
