Remarks:
Immediately after uncorking I would have given it 86 points.
Now a few drams are out of the bottle and the air in it has had an effect.
What did I expect?
not much to be honest, because the bottling for big supermarket chains couldn’t knock my socks off yet.
But he did quite well. I’m curious how it will develop over time. Currently I would blindly guess him younger.
Speaking of time:
He definitely needs it in the glass.
Overall I rate this Whisky 89/100 points
- Nose: 89/100 points
Spicy oak notes come at first. The alcohol is somewhat present. subtly sweet, fruits show up after a while. Slightly tropical fruit but also berries and red apple. Some vanilla and caramel. Some floral notes come up short. Citrus fruits join later - Taste: 89/100 points
Nuts, sweet, vanilla, caramel, light fruits, some honey, oak, becoming slightly tart, leather, later becoming a bit tart and the wood notes become more intense. - Finish: 89/100 points
sweet nutty, some fruit in the background. Slightly spicy. The nutty notes predominate here and linger on the palate for a long time
