Remarks:
The nose is very reserved. At the first sip I was almost shocked when I had the taste of vomit in my mouth. Sounds gross, I know. But it was really like that. Fortunately, the second sip showed me that it was only a first note that was deceptive. It’s a very tasty malt. Nice intense sherry aromas
Overall I rate this Whisky 87/100 points
- Nose: 87/100 points
Sherry, dried fruits, raisins, very slightly sweet and nutty, very soft and round, rather reserved. The alcohol is very well integrated, very slightly dark fruit and some oak, very slightly spicy - Taste: 87/100 points
very intense sherry notes, lots of dried fruits, becoming spicy, a bit hot and a hint of fermented fruits? (tastes slightly like vomit somewhere). With the second sip there is a spicy oak and a bitterness. The strange taste hint from the first sip is gone and now you have a very pleasant mouthfeel - Finish: 87/100 points
intense sherry notes again. Now the alcohol can be felt more clearly, very spicy and long. Again, the raisins and dark fruits.
