Remarks:
Very solid blended grain.
Accompanied me more for in between, but it was fun to drink.
Don’t expect a highly complex whisky. I personally think he looks much younger than at least 30 years.
Very tasty.
Overall I rate this Whisky 87/100 points
- Nose: 87/100 points
Alcohol slightly present, sweet, vanilla, caramel, grain, honey, subtle fruit. - Taste: 87/100 points
exactly like in the nose. You can find all those flavors here too.
Add some pepper. A bit bitter at the end. - Finish: 87/100 points
the finish reminds me incredibly of a Ron Zacapa Solera 23 Rum.
If I had had a blindfold on and only tasted the finish, I would have guessed this rum.
Very very sweet. And I think only here do the aromas of sherry maturation come into their own.
