Remarks:
Very intense malt. The alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Very nice and interesting combination of flavors. The fruitiness and the tingling are very good. That convinced me.
Overall I rate this Whisky 88/100 points
- Nose: 88/100 points
Nice fruity nose, dark berries, a bit of spiciness, then red wine scent rises into the nose, slightly sweet, vanilla in the background, spicy oak comes through which, however, gives way to rabbi notes. With air and a little water, the spiciness decreases, and the fruitiness increases. - Taste: 88/100 points
wow, strong, spicy, sweet start. Very fruity with again dark berries, a bit hot, spicy oak which causes a tingling sensation on the palate, then there is a little chocolate, but the fruitiness dominates. Here, too, with water, it becomes very fruity but also a little more acidic. - Finish: 88/100 points
very fruity, spicy oak comes a bit, the wine barrel is present here as in the nose, becoming drier towards the end. When diluted with water, the tingling sensation moves into the throat and esophagus.
