Remarks:
it takes time in the glass, but then it develops many aromas, very full and round. The sweet flavors predominate clearly.
I can’t find the cinnamon as stated by the manufacturer in my 2019 bottling
Overall I rate this Whisky 86/100 points
- Nose: 86/100 points
After a few minutes in the glass there is a very clear sweet note, caramel and chocolate rise in the nose as well as spicy oak, nut flavors can be heard, later slightly fruity with plums I would say dark chocolate comes through.
To find the sherry you have to hold your nose deep into the glass.
- Taste: 86/100 points
sweet with chocolate and caramel, also here the spicy oak notes, also vanilla comes out. Then it gets slightly spicy, which then turns into a taste of dried fruit, some nuts and dark chocolate.
- Finish: 87/100 points
long with spicy oak followed by sweet caramel and nuts, some chocolate is also included, here again the dried fruit and the plum.
